Fenac, organiser of the event, announces that given the persistence of the uncertain situation generated by the pandemic, there are no conditions for a smooth running of Fimec. The appointment is postponed to 8-10 March 2022

Skipping an entire year and postponing FIMEC to 2022 was a painful decision to take. The international fair dedicated to leather, chemicals, components, machinery and equipment for the footwear and tanning sectors of Novo Hamburgo in Brazil, will be held on 8-9-10 March 2022.

Fenac, aware of the difficult moment, given the worsening of the pandemic emergency in Brazil, which now more than ever is putting the national health system at risk of collapse, and the persistence of national and international travel restrictions, has been confronted with a forced choice.

By consulting the sector organisations and obtaining the approval of the Administrative Council, it managed to define new dates. Organising an event like FIMEC requires planning, time and commitment from all the parties involved in order to meet again face to face with the utmost safety, while ensuring that edition no. 45 is a unique moment, capable of generating important results.  

“Our goal – Fenac organisers declare – is to make FIMEC2022 the largest meeting of the leather-footwear sector in recent years, with the presence of thousands of visitors from all over the world”.
